how to commission artwork

Commissioning a piece of artwork from me is really easy. Simply sign up to my waiting list and I will contact you as and when I have openings for new commissions.  

When a slot becomes available, I'll contact you to discuss your requirements. I'll require a non refundable booking fee of 30% to secure your commission slot with full balance due upon completion.  

If you require a portrait of a beloved pet, for example, I will need good quality, clear digital photographs if possible. These work best for me as a detailed artist. However, I can work with hard copy photographs, but if they are not very clear, please note that your artwork may be slightly less detailed.

I create artwork using my favourite mediums, watercolour or coloured pencil. I use high quality materials such as Winsor and Newton professional watercolours, lightfast coloured pencils, pastel board and handmade archival acid free 300Ib paper. Your artwork will be carefully created using the materials I feel are best suited for the artwork. However, if you have a preference, I'm happy to accommodate :-)

Your artwork will be professionally mounted in a simple coordinating colour before shipping and it will be wrapped carefully to ensure safe arrival. Mounting and shipping is included in the price of your commission.
